The only reason for me to get a consol.

Is this game - Ikaruga.

Here’s my best score for the first level:
S rank, 3 000 000+ score, 94 max chains

NO GODS OR KINGS, ONLY MAN.

Is a man not entitled to the sweat on his brow?
NO says the man in Washington, it belongs to the poor!
NO, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God.
NO, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.
bioshocked

This is from the opening to BIOSHOCK, it had me hooked with this one simple quote, this game will be GOTY, I have no doubt about it. :)

The game is Amazing, so much that can be done to personalize your character for how you prefer to play the game, alittle bit of side quests and alternate things that you can do (For Achievements) and how you play is entirely up to you aside from the main plot. I beat it on Easy just to get through the story once and the hardest difficulty seems incredibly hard, its definately something i’ll play again! -Drew

Couldn’t have said it better myself Drew.

I cleaned, and cleaned some more…

It’s wifey’s birthday week, so I took it upon myself to get some flyers I designed for her and sent them out. If you’d like an example check here.

I have spent most of my week, organizing, cleaning, answering information calls, attending to my 3 wonderful daughters and designing a site I need to finish by next week.

It’s 7PM Friday and I’m exhausted. All day since 7AM I’ve taken my daughters (3) in for their doc appt. Yes one of them got shots, yes it’s tough to see them in pain however it’s for the better.

I got home an hour later and had to rush a stack of paper work about the size of a bible to my daughter’s school for this session. Keep in mind I still need to clean the house, and I mean clean. I don’t mess around. I’m talking about bleaching the walls, wiping down everything that is touched or will be touched (damn drunk people)

I still have a gourmet cake to bake, and random touch ups left here and there. It better be worth it! My wife better be the happiest woman on earth on her damn birthday fiesta tomorrow, next to the day she got her iPhone and 14k diamond ring. The iPhone did in fact overshadow the ring. However being a geek, that’s perfectly fine with me.

*sigh* The things I do for love

Sock Master’s Game Console Controller Family Tree

How did the current home-console controllers come to be? How have they evolved? You may have noticed some similarities between the current generation controllers, or between them and the previous generations of controllers. So, how do they all tie together?

Lets try to find out. I’ve put together a chart, or controller family-tree, that tries to connect all the current console controllers with their predecesors. Firstly, I don’t think anyone else has tried to do something similar on the web, and second, none of the manufacturers actually come out and tell you who they’re borrowing ideas from. This means, a lot of the information presented here is my opinion. I try to keep things accurate, using facts that I know, but also making some of my own conclusions where no hard evidence is available.

There are still a number of gaps in the family tree, as a lot of controllers are still missing from the chart. Eventually, I will try to fill in some of the holes. Current things that are missing are controllers I couldn’t get my hands on, controllers from less popular consoles, and most of the 8-bit era - which I plan to add in the future, but left out for now because there isn’t an obvious connection between the early 8-bit era and later controllers.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way… on to the chart!

Xbox 360 HD DVD Price Cut, Free Movies Added

Today at Comic Con, Microsoft announced that their XBOX 360 HD DVD add-on would drop $20 to $179. We guess they mean “at all retailers” because we’ve seen that price before. In addition, buyers between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 will be able to pick 5 free movies—though out of a collection of jsut 15 popular titles. The deal is similar to the $299 with five free movies offer that’s been out for some time, though obviously the combination of the two deals makes for a reasonable upgrade. Personally, I’d rather see Xbox LIVE get a decent downloadable movie collection that consisted of more than Beerfest and Beerfest II: The Hangover.

Slap her good.

Slap your way up to the top in the form of good timing and mouse movements.

Rose & Camellia is another one of those wtf style japanese games, (don’t you just love those people?)

Enjoy!

E3′07 Condemned 2 Demo Impressions

“When you’re in a fight, shit’s flying everywhere,” explains Condemned 2: Bloodshot producer Constantine Hantzopoulos. He’s walking us through a level, chucking some dude’s head into TV set and snapping another dude’s neck. SEGA’s calling it an “environmental fighting game” — meaning that much like a Hong Kong flick, almost everything in-game can be used as a weapon, and everything can be destroyed. “It’s visceral in-your-face action,” Hantzopoulos says as he rips apart a dog’s jaws. The game still features evidence collecting and puzzles, which are a step up from the prequel’s. “Condemned had lame puzzles, and we knew it,” he adds. What’s new? Condemned 2: Bloodshot has a flight club style mode in which you brawl with a never-ending stream of minions. Weapons from battle axes to handguns are available for the blood sport. It’s violent and relentless with sometimes two enemies attacking at once. Condemned 2: Bloodshot starts busting heads and killing dogs next Spring on the PS3 and the XBOX 360.
